2015 Community Outreach Recipient – Wilton Volunteer Ambulance Corps

On Tuesday, September 29th Kevin Wall presented WVAC President Wendy Fratino with a $5,000 check from the Arthur J. Wall Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund. “The Wilton Volunteer Ambulance Corps was selected as our 2015 Community Outreach Recipient and we are thrilled to be able to make a donation which will offset the cost of purchasing new equipment. Our Community Outreach Program is a direct result of the success of our annual golf outing and it gives me great pleasure to award WVAC this check on behalf of the friends, businesses and golfers who support our golf outing each year” stated Mr. Wall. “We can’t thank the Art Wall Scholarship Fund for the generosity they showed in selecting us – a large percentage of our funding comes from private donations and only a fraction of our operations are covered from town payments – this donation will help us tremendously” added Fratino. Since 1999 the Arthur J. Wall Scholarship Fund has awarded over $110,000 in scholarships to graduating WHS seniors and $20,000 to local 501 (c)(3) organizations.
