2009 – Reed Dempsey & Shelby Ladenheim

Reed participated in varsity lacrosse and ski team while also choral club. Shelby was a force on the varsity field hockey team and also participated in lacrosse and track early in her high school career. Both were outstanding students while at Wilton High School and had many community service activities such Habitat for Humanity, Peervention, Key Club and summer mission trips. Shelby started “Art from the Heart” which provides bedroom makeovers for children afflicted with cancer and her “Sharing the Dough” group holds bake sales and donate the proceeds to a different charity each time. Reed was the co-chair on the St. Baldrick’s program this year which raised month for children living with cancer. Reed is a graduate of Buckell while Shelby graduated from Wake Forest.
