2019 Community Outreach Recipient – Connecticut Special Olympics

In August we presented a $5,000 check to Lt. Dave Hartman and Lt. Robert Kluk of the Wilton Police Department to support the officers’ fundraising climb to benefit Special Olympics of Connecticut. Lt. Hartman & Lt. Kluk will be attempting to reach the top of Africa’s tallest mountain next February with a group of CT law enforcement officers to raise awareness and funds on behalf of Special Olympics (note: an additional $1,000 donation was made before the trip to boost fundraising).

We are thrilled to help raise funds for CT Special Olympics and help Wilton PD become the top fundraising team in CT.

Past recipients of the annual $5,000 gift have been Trackside Teen Center, Wilton Police Gift Fund, Wilton Youth Council, Wilton Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Wilton Student Financial Aid Committee, Riverbrook Regional YMCA, Wilton Children’s Library and Child Guidance Center of Lower Fairfield County.
